Job Description Busboy

 Pre-Shift Preparation:

  • Assist with setting up the dining area, including arranging tables and chairs.
  • Ensure adequate supplies of tableware, glassware, and condiments are available.

Supporting Servers:

  • Assist servers with greeting and seating guests as needed.
  • Help take initial drink orders and deliver beverages to tables.

 Food Delivery:

  • Assist servers in delivering food orders to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
  • Provide additional utensils, condiments, or other items requested by guests.

Table Maintenance:

  • Clear tables of empty plates, glasses, and utensils as guests finish each course.
  • Reset tables efficiently for the next guests, ensuring cleanliness and proper table settings.

 Beverage Service:

  • Refill water glasses and assist with beverage refills as needed.
  • Remove empty glasses and bottles from tables promptly.

 Supporting Guests:

  • Assist guests with special requests or accommodations as directed by servers.
  • Address any concerns or requests from guests promptly and professionally.

Assisting with Closing Duties:

  • Assist servers with closing duties, such as cleaning tables and restocking supplies.
  • Help with rolling silverware and preparing the dining area for the next day.

By fulfilling these daily tasks and responsibilities, servers and back servers can contribute to the smooth operation of the restaurant and provide excellent service to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience.
